The release of the much-anticipated EA Sports College Football 25 game is just five days away and even the celebrities are getting excited to play the rebooted game after an 11-year hiatus. The franchise announced that a host of celebrities would be streaming themselves playing the game before it was released.
The Instagram account "356hillwood" posted a clip of Lakers star LeBron James playing college football with the Ohio State Buckeyes in the hugely anticipated game. James played the game against his friend Frankie Walker, who used the Miami Hurricanes and built up a 28-0 lead at halftime.
The Lakers star scored a pick-six with Buckeyes safety Lathan Ransom in the game and celebrated by resurrecting the famous "silencer" celebration move.
The post was captioned:
"From 356 Hillwood in Akron Ohio to the global stage. @kingjames and @frankiewalkersr been going at it since 1995!"
LeBron James chose the Deion Sanders-led Colorado Buffaloes to play with against Walker's Oregon Ducks leading 24-7 at halftime.
Popular YouTuber Kai Cenat gatecrashed the EA Sports College Football 25 livestream to have a chat with LeBron James.
The list of celebrities who would stream themselves playing the game also includes Shane Gillis (Notre Dame), Michael Vick (Virginia Tech), Chad Ochocinco (Oregon State), LeBron James (Ohio State) and Tim Tebow (Florida) among others.
Arch Manning cannot resist the allure of College Football 25
Texas Longhorns' talented quarterback Arch Manning initially opted out of being included in the EA Sports College Football 25 game instead choosing to focus on dethroning Quinn Ewers as the starting QB.
Last week, he made a U-turn on that decision, enlisting the help of his uncle, NFL legend Eli Manning, to announce that he had opted to be included in the popular game.
The allure of being one of the players that will likely be used a lot in the game proved too much alongside the incentive of a reported $50,000 - $60,000 payment by EA Sports, according to On3.
"I'm IN the game," announced Manning in a hugely popular video.
Despite playing only two college football games so far, Manning is already one of the most marketable athletes in college sports due to his ties to the Manning family. He has a mammoth NIL valuation of $2.8 million, which ranks him at No. 3 in the On3 NIL 100.
While most fans will have to wait until the game officially drops on July 19, some lucky ones who ordered the deluxe edition will get their copies on July 16.
