Ahead of the 2024 college football season, the Michigan Wolverines are commemorating their national championship success from the previous season with a partnership with the reputable boot and clothing company, Wolverine. The brand is set to drop a limited-edition boot known as “Wolverine x University of Michigan Team #144 Commemorative 1000 Mile Boot,” celebrating the hard-fought success of the team.
Drawing inspiration from Wolverine's century-old design patterns and core dedication to quality craftsmanship, the limited-edition 1000 Mile Boot retains all the premium features of the 1000 Mile collection, including the university's blue and maize colors, enhanced with unique details to honor the 2023 team:
Custom 144 foil-stamp
- Block M tongue label
- Block M debossed on heel
- Blue leather and contrasting maize stitching
- Vibram tap sole for added durability
- Commemorative leather hangtag keychain
The special edition boot is now available for $500 exclusively on Wolverine’s website. This is not the first time the brand has partnered with the school. It previously released a boot and apparel collection in April to celebrate the program's Spring Games.
It also collaborated with 13 players on the team during the 2023 college football season for a “Maize and Blue Collar” campaign. These players include Blake Corum, Donovan Edwards, Cornelius Johnson, Mike Sainristil, Zak Zinter, Junior Colson and others.
Sherrone Moore says Michigan wants to win it all
As the 2024 college football season draws closer, coach Sherrone Moore has outlined the Wolverines' goal for the upcoming season. That's to win it all, as the program did last season.
"We're not going to stray away from the goal of trying to win it all," Moore said Thursday at Big Ten media days. "When you're at Michigan, that should be your goal every single year.
"[The team has] really done a really good job up to this point and taken necessary steps to be elite, to do all the things that we set out to do. Win the big games, beat our rivals, beat Ohio State, win the Big Ten, go to the College Football Playoff -- and win it."
After replacing Jim Harbaugh, there’s a lot of expectation on Moore in the upcoming season. Many wait to see if he can maintain the winning culture built by his predecessor.
