WATCH: Nick Saban's daughter Kristen Saban details her Thanksgiving outfit worth over $300

Former coach Nick Saban's daughter Kristen Saban has been a vociferous defender of the Alabama Crimson Tide even as they've had an inconsistent season after her father's retirement. Kristen has also supported her father in his new role as an analyst on ESPN's "College GameDay."

On Thanksgiving Day, Kristen, who spent her day with her family, including her mother Terry Saban, showcased her over $300 outfit on her Instagram stories. She posted Amazon links to both her skirt and her jacket on her stories. She captioned her story with an update about her hair.

"Took kitchen scissors to my hair last night," Kristen Saban wrote. "Happy Thanksgiving!!!"

Kristen Saban details more family time after Nick Saban's retirement

The retired Nick Saban hosted the Irondale Mayor's Prayer Breakfast in May. Back then, he revealed how much he regretted not spending more time with his wife, Terry Saban, and his children, Nicolas and Kristen Saban.

"I think the number one thing that I always tried to emphasize is that I couldn't be there enough, but I wanted to make sure when I was there, I was the best version of myself," said Nick Saban.

"There were many times when I felt like getting in the La-Z-Boy, eating some Tostitos, but I needed to go spend some time with my kids, just put them to bed, read, read a story or whatever."

During an interview on "WVTM13," Kristen Saban revealed her delight at spending more time with her father now that he's retired. She also detailed how much time her father gets to spend with his grandson James.

“It’s bittersweet. For my whole life I’ve shared him with the world. Now, I can finally just have him be ‘Dad,’” Kristen Saban said.

“I’m looking forward to more time together and more memories to be made. I get him on the phone this time, before, when he was in the office, I would be lucky if I would get him. He said we got to go play golf, and I am making some new friends down here.

"He's (Nick Saban) great with Jamie," Kristen said. "I think it's fun for him because I have a niece. She's 10 years old, and she was the first grandchild and she was a girl, but now that we have James, he's the boy, and my dad can play T-ball with him in the driveway, and throw a ball with him and do kind of all the boy stuff."

Kristen Saban has since showcased on her Instagram stories the increased time that she gets to spend with her father. She's also shared how he interacts with his grandchildren in his free time when he's not on the road with the crew of "College GameDay."
