Country music sensation Jordan Davis joined “The Pat McAfee Show” on Tuesday to discuss LSU football and the program’s prospects in the 2024 college football season. The songwriter, who graduated from the university in 2007, is a die-hard fan of the SEC powerhouse.

With the 2024 season fast approaching, Jordan Davis discusses the situation of the program in the last few years under Brian Kelly and the expectations for the team ahead of the season. LSU is entering its third season under Kelly’s leadership this fall and there's a lot of anticipation in Baton Rouge.

Davis was ecstatic throughout his time on “The Pat McAfee Show.” He was seen singing the “Callin’ Baton Rouge” song alongside Pat McAfee while both discussed the iconic gameday atmosphere at Tiger Stadium.

Jordan Davis is excited with the LSU team ahead of the 2024 season

The 2024 college football season comes with a lot of expectations for LSU among fans. There's a hunger for championship success around Baton Rouge and the team has to live up to the expectations of the fans.

Jordan Davis is one of the many fans who expect something big in the 2024 season. He made it known during his appearance on the “Pat McAfee Show” that he thinks the team is in a good position to win and that he now has full confidence in Brian Kelly after initial doubts.

"I love [LSU QB Garrett] Nussmeier, I love what I saw in the bowl game last year," Davis said per Death Valley Voice. I think the offensive line is old and seasoned. It feels good to have a coach that's running the program.
“It's a good change-up from [former LSU coach Ed] Orgeron I'll say that. He was fun to watch. He had a great year in 2019 but, Coach Kelly has won me over. I was a little nervous at the front but, now I feel good about him in Baton Rouge. Saturday Nights in Baton Rouge is special."

Brian Kelly is 20-7 in his two seasons so far at Baton Rouge. The team boasted one of the most explosive offenses in college football last season and will hope to keep the momentum in the next.

LSU averaged 45.5 points per game in 2023, the highest in the Football Bowl Subdivision. They also led the nation in total offense with 543.5 yards per game, which is an accumulation of 338.9 passing yards and 204.5 rushing yards.
