Shedeur Sanders has made a name for himself in the college football world. The quarterback is following in the footsteps of his father, Deion Sanders, in achieving greatness in the game.
While Shedeur has spent his college career at Jackson State and Colorado under his father, he has visited a couple of programs during his recruiting process. One of the notable names was Georgia in 2018, where he had the opportunity to meet Kirby Smart and his coaching staff.
In a recent video surfacing online, Shedeur is at the Bulldogs’ indoor practice facility during a visit to the school. In the video, the quarterback bears an uncanny resemblance to his father on his visit to Athens. Have a look at the six-year-old video below.
Deion Sanders hints at Shedeur Sanders' draft landing spot
Shedeur Sanders is anticipated to be one of the top picks in the upcoming 2025 NFL draft. Deion Sanders hinted at his son’s potential landing spot in the draft on a recent installment of the "Sharpe and Johnson Podcast" earlier this week.
“What do you do business-wise if you’re the Dolphins?” Sanders asked on the podcast earlier this week. “Do you take a quarterback, which is what I’m saying, or do you say, 'Tua, let’s check this out, let’s see what we’re going to do.’ Is his health more important than that?”
With Tua Tagovailoa currently out dealing with another concussion, there’s a strong belief he doesn’t have a long future in the NFL. Shedeur, who is playing his final season at Colorado is undoubtedly a brilliant option for Miami Dolphins as a long-term replacement for Tagovailoa.
Mel Kiper sees Shedeur Sanders as QB1 in 2025
Unlike the previous draft, there's a lot of debate on who will be the first quarterback off the board in the 2025 NFL draft. ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper believes Shedeur Sanders will be the first signal-caller to be drafted, citing his resilience despite the load of challenges at Colorado.
"Shedeur Sanders has had to survive," Kiper said while analyzing the Colorado quarterback. "I don't know any other quarterback that could, and still be out there... to keep getting back up and competing. I'm ready to put Shedeur at QB1, I really am, just because of that reason.”
Without a doubt, a lot of NFL franchises are already looking at the possibility of having Shedeur on their roster next year. However, the quarterback won't be open to joining every team, according to his father. Deion Sanders has noted he will go in the way of Eli Manning if he gets drafted by some teams.
