Miles Kitselman opened the scoring for Tennessee against Georgia in Athens on Saturday. The tight end found a way into the end zone from the 1-yard line five minutes into the game. However, it was how he scored that mesmerized a lot of college football fans.
After Tennessee snapped the ball, quarterback Nico Iamaleava lateraled the ball to Kitselman. Instead of making a rush through the Georgia defensive lines, the tight end went airborne and landed in the end zone to give the Volunteers the early lead.
After an uneventful year at Alabama in the 2023 college football season, Kitselman has steadily become a crucial member of the Tennessee team. The touchdown was his fourth of the season and his first through a rush. He recorded no touchdowns in two seasons in Tuscaloosa.

Miles Kitselman's first-half stats
Miles Kitselman was impressive for Tennessee in the first half. Aside from scoring the opening touchdown to raise the momentum for the Volunteers, the tight end was crucial in the team's passing game.

Why did Miles Kitselman leave Alabama?
After two seasons in Tuscaloosa, Miles Kitselman announced his departure during the past offseason following the exit of Nick Saban. He was one of the many players who exited the Crimson Tide following Saban's unexpected retirement.
“I want to thank Coach Saban and (tight ends) Coach (Joe) Cox for giving me the opportunity of a lifetime, Kitselman said in a social media post. “I will forever be grateful for my time at the University of Alabama. After talking with family and close friends, I have decided to enter into the transfer portal with 1 year of eligibility remaining.”
Kitselman announced his transfer to Alabama's SEC rival Tennessee a few days after entering the portal. The experience in Knoxville has been different as he has not been limited to playing mostly on the special teams as he did with the Crimson Tide.
