WATCH: Texas QB Quinn Ewers hypes up EA Sports College Football 25 release with his latest trailer

Texas Longhorns quarterback Quinn Ewers will be on the cover of the EA Sports College Football 25 video game. Ewers will be featured alongside Michigan Wolverines running back Donovan Edwards and Colorado Buffaloes cornerback Travis Hunter.

Ewers will be the first Texas player to appear on the cover of a college football video game since Brian Orakpo was on the cover of the PS2 version of NCAA Football 10.

To promote Quinn Ewers' appearance on the cover, a hype video featuring his best highlights from last season was released on Thursday.

Ewers had an incredible 2023 season.

Statistically, he threw for 3,379 yards and 22 touchdowns. However, numbers do not tell the full story of what Ewers did. He led the Longhorns to a 12-2 season, winning the Big 12 championship game before Texas moves to the Southeastern Conference this season, and finishing third in the AP poll.

Ewers led the Longhorns to a 49-21 win over the Oklahoma State Cowboys, throwing for 452 yards and four touchdowns to give Texas the Big 12 title and its first spot in the College Football Playoff, where it lost to the Washington Huskies 37-31 in the Sugar Bowl.

In the process, Ewers created a name for himself as a strong and confident quarterback who can lead top teams to victory.

Ewers' domination should be more visible this year as he prepares for the 2025 NFL draft. The 2024 draft was dominated by quarterbacks, with six being picked in the first 12 picks. However, the 2025 class doesn't have that many standout quarterbacks, apart from Ewers and possibly Colorado Buffaloes QB Shedeur Sanders.

Can Quinn Ewers lead the Texas Longhorns to a national championship?

Quinn Ewers and his Texas Longhorns team will be playing in the SEC for the first time this season, where they will be in direct competition with the likes of the Georgia Bulldogs and the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Texas could cause a massive upset and win the SEC this year. As well as Quinn Ewers, the Longhorns have five-star quarterback prospect Arch Manning in their quarterback room.

Additionally, while they lost Xavier Worthy and Adornai Mitchell to the NFL, they've added many other stars. The most notable one is former Alabama wide receiver Isaiah Bond, who, when paired with Ewers, could cause a lot of damage.

Quinn Ewers has the chance to become one of college football's best quarterbacks. He has got a strong team around him to help this happen. He deserves his place on the cover of EA Sports College Football 25. Now, can he win a national championship in the same year?
