Travis Hunter, the 2024 Heisman Trophy winner, is one of the best talents coming out of college football and turning pro in 2025. With the 2025 NFL draft order mostly set, it has the Tennessee Titans holding the first overall pick, which has had many speculating their strategy on draft day.

Former NFL Titans RB Chris Johnson let his thoughts known, saying that passing up on Travis Hunter would be a foolish move in the 2025 NFL draft.

"I think we go in and see what we can do for us, bring Travis on, you get your receiver or you get to a DB, I would love him to go in and play DB and come in on certain special packages on offense to help the team out, but I think we would be absolute fools if we pass up on Travis," Johnson said via TMZ Sports.

The Week 18 games in the NFL took a dramatic turn. Entering Week 18, it seemed like the New England Patriots would take home the first overall pick.

However, they surprisingly beat the Buffalo Bills 23-16, resulting in owner Robert Kraft firing coach Jerod Mayo shortly after the game, as they lost their first overall pick to the Titans, who lost to the Houston Texans to go home with the top pick.

Will Titans pick Travis Hunter first overall?

The Titans picked Will Levis in the second round a couple of years ago, assuming he would lead the franchise for years to come. However, they benched him this season, meaning they could draft a quarterback. Their other need includes a wide receiver, linebacker, offensive tackle and interior offensive lineman.

Depending on if the front office trusts the current quarterback room, which is led by Will Levis, the team could look to draft Hunter first overall. If they don't do so, they could go with either Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders or Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward. Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Jalen Milroe is also an option.

There is another possibility for the Titans. They could trade their No. 1 pick with a team needing a quarterback and secure an additional pick in the first round. Anything can happen in the draft as all eyes are set on the Titans.
