The Colorado Buffaloes did not have their season end the way they were hoping as they were dominated in the Alamo Bowl and lost to the BYU Cougars 36-14. The Buffaloes looked completely overmatched throughout a significant portion of the game and quarterback Shedeur Sanders could not get much going.
On Friday's episode of the "2 Legendary" podcast, host Darius Sanders asked Sanders how he was feeling after the Alamo Bowl loss.
"Didn't feel good, bro," Sanders said. "We definitely sold out there. That game we did not play our best." (0:58)
The Buffaloes did struggle as they were shut out in the first half and finished the game with 210 total yards and only had nine total first downs as a team.
It will be interesting as Sanders did not indicate anything about his future, saying on the most recent episode of his podcast that he is not in a reflective mood with the Buffaloes season of his collegiate career at this point.
What team best fits Shedeur Sanders in the 2025 NFL draft?
While nothing official has been known, Shedeur Sanders is expected to be one of the first quarterbacks off the board in the 2025 NFL draft and is not expected to return to the Colorado Buffaloes next season. Coach Prime has made that clear with the additions of transfer quarterback Kaidon Salter from Liberty and true freshman Julian Lewis.
However, the New York Giants looks to be the best fit for Sanders. Heading into Week 18 of the NFL season, the Giants hold the fourth pick in the draft and are looking for the quarterback of the future.
Sanders has been no slouch as he dominated this season, completing 353-of-477 (74.0%) of his passes for 4,134 yards, 37 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. With the ability to handle adversity, he appears to be ready for the New York media.
All the stars are shining for Sanders to be the next quarterback for the Giants.
