Deion "Coach Prime" Sanders has had a strong season in charge of the Colorado Buffaloes. As with many coaches, he will earn bonuses dependent on his team's performance.

With the Buffaloes having a 9-3 season and defeating the Oklahoma State Cowboys in the final game last week, Sanders has reportedly earned an extra $100,000. He has earned $600,000 in bonuses this season.

Sanders posted his view on this, where he involved his family, on Instagram on Wednesday:

"I asked Mr Rick (CU athletic director Rick George) and he said they ain’t lying….. we need some of that @shilosanders @shedeursanders @shelomisanders @deiondrasanders (posted by @deionsandersjr)."

It's not known what Sanders is planning to do with his bonuses. However, giving an amount to his kids (especially to Shedeur and Shilo, who are instrumental in the money being given in the first place) is a possibility, due to his strong affection towards his family.

Deion Sanders talks about his family to RGIII

The bond between Deion Sanders and his family is strong, and it has had an impact on football. Shedeur and Shilo Sanders have never played on a team that has not involved their father.

Sanders sat down with former Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III to talk about his family and the work that he has done for them.

"God never sends me where I would be comfortable," Sanders said. "He always sends me where I'm uncomfortable, that it's my job to make things comfortable. No matter what life presents you, don't stop doing what you've been called to do.
"I built my life around my kids. The moves I made was based on my babies. Not me. They was based on what was good for them. So, I take pride in that. I ain't no 'baby daddy,' I'm a father. "

Deion Sanders has been able to turn Shedeur Sanders into an elite quarterback, who is likely to be a top five pick in the 2025 NFL draft. But for him to thrive, Sanders is going to have to let his son go and play on a team without him as the coach.

This will be (to paraphrase Sanders) what's good for Shedeur and will allow fans to see if Shedeur is as good of a quarterback as everyone thinks he is or if he was benefiting from having his father as the coach.
