Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders had an interesting take on his team's influence on college football. Colorado was the talk of college football last season, after hiring Deion Sanders to be their head coach.

Although the hype was around Colorado last season, the Buffaloes went 4-8 and struggled to end the year after starting it 3-0. Entering 2024, the hype is back on Colorado due to the Buffaloes having Shedeur Sanders as their quarterback.

At Big 12 media day, Sanders was asked about Colorado and he said the Buffaloes are every team's Super Bowl as they will all get up to play them.

"It been there since Day 1," Sanders said. "I remember first media day when I was in HBCU, I said, 'We won't lose a game.' I'm undefeated in a SWAC. So, I already know what the expectation comes with.
"I know we're everybody's Super Bowl, so I always stay level-headed and stay grounded because I would never want to be that guy looking back and not being able to take advantage of the moment that we have right now."

It is an interesting comment from Shedeur Sanders, but there is no doubt all their games will be hyped up. However, whether or not teams will think it is their Super Bowl is uncertain.

Instead, when teams play top-level teams like Georgia, Alabama and Ohio State, they could be their Super Bowl as those are the games that help other schools gauge how good they are and if they are national title contenders.

Deion Sanders says Colorado's team is 'phenomenal'

Entering the 2024 season, Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders is impressed with his team.

"This team is phenomenal," Sanders said at Big 12 media day. "I know we grabbed a lot of guys out of the portal, but you've gotta understand we grabbed a lot of mature guys. We grabbed guys that are smart, tough, fast, disciplined, and have character."

Shedeur Sanders and Colorado will open their college football season on Aug. 29 against North Dakota State. Entering the season, Deion Sanders said he and Colorado will always be judged differently:

"My wins are different. We have to win in every area. That's the way we're judged. I'm cool with that because we come a little bit different. So the expectation is greater. But it's not just football, it's been like that all my life."

The Buffaloes are +1400 to make the playoffs, which implies a 6.7% chance, according to DraftKings. Colorado has notable games against Nebraska, Utah, Kansas and Oklahoma State.
