Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders finished his final collegiate campaign by helping the Buffs to a 9-4 record. They qualified for the Bowl game for the first time since 2020 but lost to the BYU Cougars in the Alamo Bowl. The quarterback tallied a total of 4,134 yards and 37 touchdowns and was honored with the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award.

Shedeur Sanders is projected to be the No.1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. When the New York Giants had the first overall pick, it was rumored that they would be drafting the Colorado quarterback. However, things have changed in the NFL with the Tennessee Titans securing the No.1 spot following their 23-14 loss to the Houston Texans.

Shedeur's elder brother, Deion Sanders Jr., questioned the quarterback about his thoughts after the Titans secured the No.1 pick in the draft. The quarterback replied that he was not particularly concerned with the draft order and that his success at the collegiate level speaks for itself.

"Honestly bro, I've been doing a lot of thinking," Shedeur said. "What's meant to happen is going to happen, you know I feel like God won't whatever put me in a place where I'm not suppose to go. We made it everywhere."
"You know what we have went and been successful so. Like that's the thing bro, I'm not paying attention to people...... Cause of course they are going to try to grade you and they are going to try and paint a different picture and all types of stuff. But anyways, I'm happy of the order and whatever happens happens. I know at the end of the day, God gonna put me on the right team."

The Colorado quarterback made headlines last month when he wore custom Giants cleats ahead of their Alamo Bowl game against BYU. He also shared an IG story with Las Vegas' Allegiant Stadium and a caption that read 'Legendary,' leading to the rumor mill churning that the Las Vegas Raiders are also a potential destination for the quarterback.

New York Giants GM Joe Schoen speaks on potential interest in drafting Shedeur Sanders

The Giants need a quarterback after releasing Daniel Jones earlier this season. Despite the rumors surrounding the team drafting Shedeur Sanders, GM Joe Schoen stated that the team has not yet spoken with the quarterback's camp and is not under their control.

"No, we haven't had any conversations with his camp on any of that stuff," Schoen said. "We don't really control any of that stuff. Again, we got to control what we can control."

While drafting Shedeur is a possibility, Joe Schoen further emphasized that the team will consider free agency, the draft, and other avenues to upgrade their quarterback room. Currently, only Tommy DeVito is under contract for the 2025 season.

Shedeur Sanders's draft selection will be interesting to watch out for in April. Until then, college football fans will be waiting in suspense to see which team decides to draft him and give him his debut at the professional level in the NFL.
