“Weak a** defense again” “future #1” - CFB fans have mixed reactions to Deion Sanders and son Shedeur Sanders’ Colorado after 2024 Spring game

Deion Sanders, Shedeur Sanders
The CFB world has some things to say about Deion Sanders spring scrimage featuring Shedeur Sanders.

Deion Sanders led the Colorado Buffaloes team, featuring Shedeur Sanders and others, out for the spring games on Saturday. It was his second annual spring scrimmage since joining the Boulder side in December 2022. Shedeur got some reps out of the way but it looked like Coach Prime was using this opportunity to test new recruits.

Shedeur put up decent numbers, completing 10 of his 14 pass attempts and gaining 166 yards in the process. The QB was sacked once and managed one touchdown during his time on the field. The video of the bullet pass for touchdown went viral on social media.

The college football world had a mixed reaction to Deion Sanders' Colorado Buffaloes playing in the annual Spring scrimmage. Some fans did not like the way the defense played on the field.

“Look how the pocket is collapsing vs the 2nd team defense,” another fan wrote on X.
“Nebraska’s gonna put up 70 on that defense,” a fan predicted.

But another section of fans loved the way Shedeur Sanders played in the spring showpiece. Some fans even went on to call him the ‘future’ number-one draft pick.

“Excellent ball placement,” a fan shared their opinion.
“Look like my boy might have a lil bit of protection,” another fan sounded happy.

Coach Prime promised fans, particularly 99-year-old Buffaloes superfan Peggy Coppom, that he would lead the team to the Bowl game this season. The offense defeated the defense 29-24 after two quarters of scrimmage play.

Deion Sanders recalled the moment he knew Shedeur Sanders was made for big things

In a recent interview, Deion Sanders recalled the exact moment when he realized that his QB son could make it big in life. According to him, that was at the age of 7.

“From the time that he first played quarterback," Sanders told Sports Illustrated. "I believe at age of seven, I saw it. He was a bonafide leader, he was a way maker, he was very supportive of his teammates, he made sure even in their weaknesses, he tried to put them in their proper position.”

Shedeur is now in his final year as a college football player and will go into the draft next year.
