Defensive Coaching Adjustments in College Football 25

Autoflip Defense On

This setting will automatically flip your defense to match the positions of the offense. This is good as it can automatically prevent any unnecessary holes in the defense, which can be exploited by the offense during the play.

Defensive Motion Response Off

By turning this off, your defense will automatically move over if a member of the offense has made a last-minute switch. This will maintain the defense in the same position and may help to eliminate unwanted gaps that the offense can exploit.

Put Option Defense Read Key on Conservative

By putting this on Conservative, the defense is focused on the quarterback. This will put pressure on the QB and may prevent them from making a big play. Moreover, it is a good way to stop a mobile quarterback, which is an increasingly common sign in college football.

In contrast, putting this on aggressively will lead the defense to focus on the running back, thus leaving the quarterback able to make the big play.

Option Defense Pitch Key is set to aggressive

Setting this to aggressive will make the defense focus on stopping the quarterback from being able to make the play alongside the sidelines. By doing this, the QB will be forced to play on the inside, where most of the defenders are.

Offensive Coaching Adjustments in College Football 25

Tempo Adjustment is set to Normal

While players can choose to have it on the "Chew Clock" setting, this will only allow the offense to have 10 seconds to make every play. This means that the risk of being penalised on a play may be high if you do not move fast enough

Deep Pass Catching is set to Balanced

By changing the settings here, players will either always have RAC after a lengthy play or never attempt to gain yards after a long throw from the quarterback. The balanced setting is a good compromise.

Blocking is set to Balanced

By putting this setting on aggressive, there is an increased chance of suffering a holding penalty. If this setting is on Converse, the blocking is poor from the offensive line.
