Texas Longhorns offensive lineman Cameron Williams left the game against the Florida Gators in the third quarter.

The tackle has been a key part of the strong offensive line, so his absence may have an effect on quarterback Quinn Ewers.

So, what exactly happened to Williams in this game?

What happened to Cameron Williams?

During the third quarter, after a rushing play by Quintrevion Wisner that did not gain any yards, Williams pulled up on the field.

After staying down for a while, Williams had to be helped off the field by the training staff. He was not able to put any pressure on his right leg. It was later revealed that Williams had suffered a lower-body injury.

Who replaced Cameron Williams?

Williams was replaced by Trevor Goosby. He is not the backup to Williams according to the depth chart, as that position belongs to Brandon Baxter.

However, Goosby does have experience of playing on the Longhorns this season. He has been involved in 47 snaps in three games. However, Goosby did not have to remain in the game for long.

On his first play, he was given a false start penalty. On his second, Ewers found Isaiah Bond for a 34-yard touchdown pass.

The next time the Longhorns had possession, Goosby would be out of the game, and Williams would return.
