The West Virginia Mountaineers faced off against the Oklahoma State Cowboys in a Week 6 Big 12 matchup in Stillwater on Saturday. Mountaineers fans had a scare early when Garrett Green exited the game with an injury.

What happened to Garrett Greene?

Garrett Greene scampered for a 39-yard run on third-and-seven with under three minutes to play in the opening quarter, taking the ball to the Oklahoma State 12-yard line. Upon being stopped, Greene came up with an apparent injury to his throwing arm, favoring his shoulder.

Greene sat out of the game for the remainder of the first quarter and nearly half of the second quarter. The West Virginia starting quarterback returned to the game, leading two touchdown drives to cap off the first half, giving the Mountaineers a 31-7 lead going into halftime.

Greene stayed in for most of the game before being subbed out in the fourth quarter with a 24-point lead. Greene finished the game with 159 passing yards and 86 rushing yards, scoring a touchdown on the ground.

West Virginia couldn't be stopped on the ground, notching 65 carries for 389 yards and four touchdowns versus Oklahoma State. Jaheim White led the rushing attack for the Mountaineers, posting 19 carries for 158 yards and a touchdown. C.J. Donaldson was another key part of the Mountaineers' ground attack, adding 20 carries for 77 yards and two touchdowns.

Backup quarterback Nicco Marchiol also got some burn with Greene out, completing his only pass attempt for a 10-yard touchdown. Marchiol added seven carries for 46 rushing yards.
