After winning four consecutive games, Deion Sanders and his then-No. 16 Colorado (8-3, 6-2 Big 12) team fell on the road to Kansas (5-6, 4-4 Big 12) on Saturday. Thanks to a four-touchdown performance from Devin Neal, the Buffaloes were defeated 37-21 by the Jayhawks.

Jason Whitlock reacted to Colorado’s Week 13 loss in an installment of his “Fearless with Jason Whitlock” show on Monday. With the Buffaloes performing against his expectations over the week, Whitlock, who is a stern critic of Deion Sanders, found solace in the result.

“Kansas just ranted down their throat," Whitlock said. “What a joy to watch on Saturday. I flew back here from Chicago early just so I could have an uninterrupted watch of Colorado vs. Kansas.
“I'm going to tell the truth and shame the devil. This is how desperate I was for Kansas to win that game. I knew there was a step, there was a nuclear option that I could take that would guarantee victory more likely. I bet on Colorado.”

Jason Whitlock is giving Oklahoma State a chance against Deion Sanders’ Colorado

Colorado will host Oklahoma State (3-8, 0-8 Big 12) in the final regular season game in Week 14. Mike Gundy’s team has been largely underwhelming this season. While the Cowboys have dropped eight straight games, Jason Whitlock is giving them a chance against the Buffaloes.

“I have hope and it's in Mike Gundy and Oklahoma State,” Whitlock said. “And this is why I'm not giving up. Mike Gundy is a better coach than Deion Sanders. He does not have the talent that Colorado has this year.
“Their offensive line took a big step back from a year ago, but they have a good running back and they have a heck of a coach. They have a chance because there's no telling how Colorado will emotionally recover now that the shine has been taken from them, now that they've been exposed.”

The loss to Kansas derailed Colorado on its clear path to the Big 12 championship game. However, Deion Sanders and his team can keep their hopes alive with a win against Oklahoma State in Week 14.
