QB Arch Manning did not disappoint while replacing the injured Quinn Ewers during Texas' showdown against UTSA. Steve Sarkisian's team defeated the Roadrunners 56-7, with Manning putting up an incredible performance during the game.

One of Manning's best plays during the game was his incredible 67-yard rushing touchdown in the second quarter. In the post-game press conference, he talked about his thought process during that play and how adrenaline influenced him to that impressive touchdown.

"When he bit on the back, I had a pretty good idea. I just had to make one move on the safety," Manning said. "When adrenaline kicks in, it helps you run a little bit faster. But I credit that to Torre Becton [Director of Texas football performance].... he runs our tails off in the summer. So I think I've gotten a little bit faster since I've gone on campus."

When questioned about his emotions following the touchdown, Manning said:

"I felt good. Anytime you can get points on the board, help your team win games, it feels really good."

Manning's 67-yard rushing touchdown became the longest rush by a Texas QB since Vince Young in 2005. He finished the game against UTSA with 223 passing yards, four TD passes and 5 rushing yards with one touchdown.

College football insider believes Arch Manning is a Heisman contender

On "SportsCenter" on Sunday, Paul Finebaum raved about Manning's performance during the game against UTSA. He said that the QB is bound to win a Heisman during his collegiate career.

"Book it. Arch Manning is going to win the Heisman," Finebaum said. "I am in on that. His granddad and Peyton probably should have won it, and Arch will. Can you imagine? He's replacing a Heisman favorite (Quinn Ewers) right now. I don't know if he will win it this year, but Arch Manning will definitely win a Heisman at Texas."

Following his oblique strain, Quinn Ewers' availability is week-to-week, according to reports. He is also expected to miss the Longhorns' game against LA-Monroe next week. This could, therefore, be the perfect opportunity for Manning to showcase his brilliance once again.

While Ewers' injury is not serious, he will probably make a quick comeback for the Longhorns on the gridiron. But Manning has already proved himself to be a suitable replacement for Ewers once he declares for the NFL draft next year.
