Shedeur Sanders is expected to be one of the top picks in the 2025 NFL draft. The NFL Rookie Watch's X account claimed Sanders said the Falcons, Cowboys, Commanders, 49ers, Ravens, and Eagles were the teams the quarterback wants to go to in the NFL.

Shedeur Sanders responded to the post, calling out the NFL Rookie Watch for attributing him to the list, claiming he never said that.

"When did I say this," Sanders responded to the post.

Shedeur Sanders is entering his second year at Colorado as last season, he went 298-for-430 for 3,230 yards, 27 touchdowns, and three interceptions.

Deion Sanders says protecting Shedeur Sanders is No. 1 priority

Entering the 2024 season, the Colorado Buffaloes are looking to improve on their 4-8 season.

Colorado started the previous season strong but went 1-7 in their final eight games. In his second year as the head coach, Deion Sanders was active in the transfer portal, landing offensive lineman, as he says protecting his son Shedeur Sanders is his No. 1 priority.

"We got to protect that quarterback," Sanders said, via ESPN. "That's No. 1... "What makes it easy to connect with offensive line? Having the best darn quarterback in college football. Who don't want to come and block for the best quarterback in college football? You got to be a fool if you say, 'I don't want to be seen.'"
"The television numbers are crazy. They're on every darn week. So, I get exposure and I think 32 NFL scouts are going to be at every practice seeing these two guys [Shedeur and Travis Hunter] practice. So, I get to be seen. That's an easy -- and it's not a sale. That's common sense for any lineman to want to be a part of."

Entering 2024, Sanders is confident Colorado will be much better as the Buffaloes are now joining the Big 12.

Colorado will open their 2024 season against North Dakota State on August 29, which Deion says is a tough test.

"They're really darn good, and I'm mad at [CU athletic director Rick George] right now for putting them on the schedule to open up with them," Sanders said (per ESPN). "Can you give me a layup or something? Those guys are wonderful."

The Buffaloes will also have notable games against Nebraska, Utah, Arizona, Oklahoma State and Kansas.
