The No. 1 Texas Longhorns host the No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs. This is the first time that GameDay has been to Austin since 2022.

On that occasion, the Longhorns faced the TCU Horned Frogs in a game the team from Fort Worth won to continue a season that took it to the National Championship game.

The program which will feature Kirk Herbstreit, Pat McAfee and former Alabama coach Nick Saban will start at 8 a.m. (local time).

College Game Day: Texas vs. Georgia preview

College GameDay is in Austin because the Texas Longhorns will play the Georgia Bulldogs. The game will kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET at the Darrell K Royal Stadium.

Coming into this game, the Longhorns are undefeated (6-0, 3-0 SEC). They dismantled rivals the Oklahoma Sooners 34-3 in last week's Red River Rivalry game.

Led by quarterback Quinn Ewers, the Longhorns have a star-studded offense with players such as Ishiah Bond, Jaydon Blue and Gunnar Helm. This combined with a strong defense will cause problems for the Bulldogs.

Georgia enters the game with a 5-1 (3-1 SEC) record. It started the season strong as the No.1 team and was a heavy favorite for the National Championship.

But, after losing to the Alabama Crimson Tide, the team has not been the same.

The Bulldogs are powerful on offense. Led by Carson Beck, they averaged 33.8 points a game this season.

However, they are struggling with their defense. Georgia conceded 31 points in its victory over Mississippi State last week, allowing State and Alabama to record more than 300 yards on offense.

The Bulldogs should work on this before Saturday, or it may be a long evening for Kirby Smart’s team.
