The Alabama Crimson Tide has become a national powerhouse under long-term head coach Nick Saban over the last 15 years. This is due to the strong and talented players that come out of the Tuscaloosa program.
This means that many current NFL players played college football for the Crimson Tide, and they are spread over most of the 32 NFL teams.
However, a recent post on social media from Alabama football analyst Clint Lamb revealed that not every team has an Alabama player on their roster:
With Kool-Aid McKinstry now a Saint, only three NFL teams currently don’t have an Alabama player: Bears, Bills and Bucs.
Coming into Day 2 of the 2024 NFL draft, 28 of 32 teams had at least one player who played college football for the Alabama Crimson Tide on their roster.
During the draft, this number rose to 29, after the New Orleans Saints drafted Crimson Tide cornerback Kool-Aid McKinstry with the No. 41 pick.
With the arrival of McKinstry to the "Big Easy," there are now only three teams in the NFL that currently do not have an Alabama player on their roster – the Chicago Bears, Buffalo Bills and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Bills do have former Alabama wide receiver Tyrell Shavers on their practice roster, but he was not drafted as an Alabama player after transferring to Mississippi State and then San Diego State.
