Colorado Buffaloes two-way star Travis Hunter is an excellent talent at Deion Sanders' disposal. When Coach Prime transferred from Jackson State to become the head coach of the Buffs last season, Hunter also made his way to Boulder to continue playing under him.
In his debut campaign for Colorado, Travis Hunter put up an unbelievable performance both offensively and defensively. His athleticism and skills earned him the Paul Hornung Award making him a player to watch out for this upcoming season.
As Hunter prepares for Colorado's Big 12 reunion this year, a question that still looms large is what position will he settle for when he transitions into the NFL. According to a report by ESPN's Matt Miller, one anonymous AFC general manager believes Hunter will excel as a wide receiver when he transitions into a professional NFL player.
"I think he's more of a natural receiver. To excel at corner, he'd really have to dedicate himself to the technique and craft. At receiver, his athleticism shines," the anonymous AFC GM said.
The Colorado two-way star is indeed a talent that leaves fans in awe with his athleticism and agility on the field. However, Hunter was also one of Coach Prime's top defensive players last season, recording 31 tackles, five passes defended, and three interceptions. His ability to read routes is second to none, making him a valuable defensive addition.
Travis Hunter was also productive on the offense, tallying 721 receiving yards and five touchdowns for the Buffs.

After a disappointing 4-8 finish last year, Deion Sanders will be looking forward to securing a better campaign this upcoming season in the Big 12. Apart from the massive coaching and roster revamp, Hunter has also been putting in the blood, sweat, and tears to get better for the journey ahead.
In a recent video that went viral on social media, the Colorado two-way star put in the work while practicing a few defensive drills. The video showcases Hunter's quickness and agility, as he stays on top of his game to intercept the ball.
Colorado's new journey in the Big 12 is going to be one to keep an eye out for. And with the new 12-team playoff format in place, can Coach Prime silence critics by making his team a playoff contender?
