Saturday's matchup preview
The Georgia Bulldogs are massive 24-point favorites to defeat Kentucky in Week 3. The Bulldogs are 2-0 and coming off a 48-3 blowout win over Tennessee Tech on Saturday. The team has yet to allow a touchdown on defense through the first two weeks. Although the Bulldogs are a big favorite, Kirby Smart is expecting a tougher game.
"I mean, I don't think we've been up there that it wasn't just a battle," Smart told 247Sports. "I can't think of a time I've ever been to that stadium and played in a game that was like, well, that was easy. It's never easy up there. Never.
"It's never easy on the road in the SEC at all, and I don't know if people truly appreciate and respect a win on the road at Kentucky, how hard it is. They're well-coached. They're really physical. They do a great job. I mean, they have a really good football team, so we will have our work cut out for us, not to mention eight straight SEC games. I think it is."
The Wildcats, meanwhile, are 1-1 and coming off a 31-6 loss to South Carolina on Saturday at home, a game the Kentucky Wildcats were favored to win. Quarterback Brock Vandagriff struggled mightily, going 3-for-10 for 30 yards with one interception before being removed.
Georgia's defense should pose a lot of problems for Kentucky's offense.
