Every week, College GameDay travels to a different corner of the country to cover a different game. This week, the broadcast team is headed to Pennsylvania to cover the game between the No. 3 Penn State Nittany Lions (7-0) and No. 4 Ohio State Buckeyes (6-1). It should be one of the most exciting matchups of the week.
One of the most popular aspects of College GameDay is bringing on a new guest picker every week to make their prediction for the game. Usually, the guest picker has ties to the home team in some way. This week is no different, as the guest picker is star comedian Keegan-Michael Key.
What ties does College GameDay guest picker Keegan-Michael Key have to Penn State?

Keegan-Michael Key will be a guest picker for the Penn State vs. Ohio State matchup, the first top-5 matchup hosted at Beaver Stadium in 25 years. Key rose to stardom through his sketch comedy show, Key & Peele.
Key is a big football fan, which led to him creating a sketch about a 12th-year senior named Hingle McCringleberry on his show. He has been a fan of Penn State football since he was young.
Although Key grew up in Detroit, many of his family friends lived in Pennsylvania, which eventually led him to pursue a master's degree at Penn State. Since then, he has visited the Penn State football team many times, attended team meetings, and even made a previous College GameDay appearance.
Key has said he loves being involved with Penn State football. He talked about this in 2018:
"A part of my journey that is interesting is my parents’ best friends were Pennsylvanians, so as a small child I watched Penn State football. When I had the opportunity to do my graduate studies here, it ended up being one of my top choices for nostalgia reasons. I am glad it all played out that way because I ended up going to a high-level university for what I was studying."
Who will Key pick to win the Penn State vs. Ohio State matchup?
Although it should be a close game between Penn State and Ohio State, Key is unlikely to have much of a debate when making his pick for the game on College GameDay.
As a lifelong fan of the Nittany Lions, it would be incredibly surprising if he chose not to pick Penn State. However, he will not make his pick official until Saturday morning.
