Who is joining Kirby Smart at SEC Media day today? List of all Georgia attendees for Dallas event

The 2024 SEC Media Days began on Monday and will continue through Thursday, with the Georgia Bulldogs being one of four teams to speak to the media on Tuesday at 10:05 a.m. Eastern.

Georgia head coach Kirby Smart will attend media day as he enters his ninth season as the Bulldogs head coach. He led Georgia to back-to-back national championships in 2021 and 2022 but failed to make the playoffs last season after losing to Alabama in the SEC championship game.

Along with Smart, quarterback Carson Beck, defensive lineman Mykel Williams, and safety Malaki Starks will be in attendance.

Beck is one of the frontrunners to win the Heisman Trophy and is set for his second year as the Bulldogs starting quarterback. Last season, Beck went 302-for-417 for 3,941 yards, 24 touchdowns, and six interceptions.

Williams, meanwhile, is entering his third season at Georgia and last season, the defensive lineman recorded 16 tackles, 4.5 sacks, and one forced fumble. He's projected to start at the defensive end for the Bulldogs in 2024.

Starks is entering his third year at Georgia and last season, he recorded 52 tackles, seven pass defenses, and three interceptions. Starks is projected to start at strong safety in 2024.

Georgia is currently the favorite to win the national championship at +320.

Kirby Smart on Georgia Bulldogs' tough schedule in the upcoming season

Heading into 2024, Smart knows his team is built to deal with the tough schedule that features games against Clemson, Alabama and Tennessee, among others.

“We’ve got a good football team. We’ve got a very consistent football team. We say it all the time, we’re built to sustain at Georgia,” Smart said to Paul Finebaum, via DawgNation.

“We don’t want to be a one-hit wonder. I think we’re going to have a good football team next year. I don’t know how good and I don’t know how we’ll play in some really tough road games. We’ll see where it falls.”

Since taking over as the head coach of the Bulldogs, Smart is 94-16 while going 56-9 in SEC play.

Georgia will be opening their 2024 season against Clemson on August 31.
