Who is joining Kentucky head coach Mark Stoops at SEC Media Days?

Mark Stoops will be joined at SEC Media Days by defensive tackle Deone Walker, offensive lineman Marques Cox, and linebacker D’Eryk Jackson.

1. Deone Walker, Defensive Tackle

Deone Walker is a 6-foot-6, 345-pounder who is entering his third season with the team.

Walker was a consensus freshman All-American in 2022 and featured in 13 games, including 11 starts. He recorded 40 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, and five quarterback hurries that season.

The Cass Tech product earned consensus First Team All-SEC as a sophomore. He was the team's captain and racked up a stat line of 12.5 tackles, 7.5 quarterback sacks, and eight QB hurries.

Walker enters this season on the Lott IMPACT Trophy Watch List and is poised to solidify his NFL Draft stock.

2. Marques Cox, Offensive lineman

Marques Cox is entering his seventh and final collegiate season in 2024. The 6-foot-5, 318-pounder is entering his second season with the Wildcats after enjoying a five-year stint with Northern Illinois.

Cox played 13 games for the Kentucky Wildcats in 2024 and aims to finish his collegiate football career on a high.

3. D’Eryk Jackson, Inside linebacker

D’Eryk Jackson is set to begin his fifth season with the Wildcats. The West Laurens product was the team's leading tackler in 2022 and 2023 and is looking to do the same this campaign.

Jackson models his game after Baltimore Ravens icon Ray Lewis and will aim for a stellar 2024. He has recorded a tackle in 23 consecutive games for Kentucky and is a key part of the team's defense.
