The SEC media days began on Monday and are set to conclude on Thursday in Dallas, Texas. On Thursday, the Arkansas Razorbacks will be one of four Southeastern Conference teams to speak to the media. The Razorbacks begin their media day at 10:35 a.m. Eastern Time.
Arkansas coach Sam Pittman, along with quarterback Taylen Green, wide receiver Andrew Armstrong and defensive end Landon Jackson, will be speaking to the media.
The Razorbacks enter 2024 with low expectations after a disappointing 4-8 season where they went 1-7 in the SEC. Despite the lack of success, Pittman remains confident he is the right man for the job.
"You're going to have people that hate what you say regardless of what you say," Pittman said, via SI. "It doesn't matter and so once you figure that out, well, just say what you want to say. But you can't in some instances.
"You don't want to rebut an 18-year-old kid or a 21-year-old. You can't be petty. You just take it, but in this profession as a head coach, you take a lot of that."
Arkansas will open its 2024 season on August 29 against Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
Sam Pittman's new signal caller will be Taylen Green
Taylen Green will be the Razorbacks' starting quarterback in 2024 after spending the last three years with Boise State. He transferred to Arkansas after K.J. Jefferson left for UCF. Last season with the Broncos, Green went 121-for-212 for 1,752 yards, 11 touchdowns and nine interceptions.
Andrew Armstrong is entering his third year of college and second at Arkansas. Last season, the receiver recorded 56 receptions for 764 yards and five touchdowns. He will be one of the top weapons for the Razorbacks in 2024.
Landon Jackson will enter his third year at Arkansas. Jackson recorded 44 tackles and 6.5 sacks last season for the Razorbacks.
In the upcoming season, Arkansas will have important games against Auburn, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Texas A&M, LSU, Ole Miss, Texas and Missouri.
