Deion Sanders has had his say on the harsh reality of NIL in college sports. Coach Prime made an appearance on the "Million Dollaz Worth of Game Podcast" this week and pointed out some of the issues with the way NIL works well only for top college athletes.

"Let's break this down, you got name, image and likeness," Sanders said on the YouTube episode that was released on Sunday. "Now let me deal with this first. Who you seeing on TV? Name, image and likeness, that means you're endorsing stuff. [Timestamp: 26:26]
"Who you seeing besides Travis and Shedeur? And that girl that hoops from USC (JuJu Watkins). But who else? So, it ain't no name, image and likeness. That's our kids."

Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter were the two key players for No. 20 Colorado this season. Shedeur, the star QB for CU, won the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year award. Meanwhile, two-way star Hunter won the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year, along with the coveted Heisman Trophy.

Both of them boosted their stocks and are set to declare for the 2025 NFL draft. Meanwhile, there have been questions about Coach Prime's future at Colorado, with some suggesting that Sanders might leave the program after his sons go pro.

There were some doubts over Deion Sanders' future at Colorado after some rumors last week claimed that the coach might join the Las Vegas Raiders. However, on Monday, a report from The Athletic confirmed that the Raiders do not have any interest in recruiting Coach Prime for the team's vacant head coaching job.

Sanders, who signed a five-year, $29.5 million contract with Colorado in December 2022, transformed the Buffs into one of the most improved teams this season.

After leading Colorado to a 4-8 record in his first year in 2023, Sanders' Buffs finished the 2024 season with a 9-4 record, while getting the No. 20 rank in the country.

As things stand, Sanders is set to remain in Colorado for the 2025 season.
