Colorado coach Deion Sanders shares a close bond with two-way superstar Travis Hunter. Coach Prime has often said that Hunter is like a son to him and often shares his pastimes with the player.

On Tuesday, during his press conference, Sanders waxed lyrical on Hunter before recalling a hilarious late-night incident with the player.

"The funny thing to me is, I just saw him (Hunter)," Sanders said. "It had to be one o'clock in the morning. He's riding four-wheelers around the property. I'm hearing this and I'm thinking to myself, 'You better not fall off this.' The whole country is going to be at my throat if you fall off this four-wheeler.
"Then, I see deer flashing on one side of the property, and he's chasing a deer. Next thing I know, you know, we got a shooting range, and he's all like pop, pop pop, and then I'm thinking my mom is gonna go crazy because she is trying to sleep."

According to Sanders, Hunter's late-night antics took place just a few hours before appearing on ESPN's College GameDay on Saturday. Since Colorado had off in Week 10, the Buffs star traveled to Penn State to market himself for the Heisman Trophy.

Deion Sanders' No. 21 Colorado (6-2, 4-1 Big 12) has an opportunity to make the College Football Playoff this season. However, the Buffs cannot afford to lose any of their four remaining games.

Travis Hunter is expected to play a key role for Colorado in the coming weeks. As a defensive back, he has already posted 20 total tackles (13 solo tackles), eight passes defended, two interceptions and one forced fumble. He has also recorded 757 receiving yards and eight touchdowns on 60 receptions as a wide receiver.

Here's a look at Colorado's remaining games this season:

  • Nov. 9: at Texas Tech
  • Nov. 16: vs. Utah
  • Nov. 23: at Kansas
  • Nov. 29: vs. Oklahoma State
