Arch Manning has been a highly anticipated player since he announced his commitment to the Texas Longhorns. Fans got a glimpse of his potential earlier in the season when he briefly filled in for the injured Quinn Ewers, and many were impressed with what they saw.

On Sunday afternoon, the Longhorns faced the Arkansas Razorbacks in a game that saw Ewers struggle. However, Longhorns coach Steve Sarkisian kept Ewers in the game, a decision which the Longhorns' fans questioned on social media.

"Why is Arch Manning not playing?" one fan said.
"Ugh Texas should do better. Please let Arch Manning play," another fan said.
"Arch Manning gives @TexasFootball our best chance to win a title but Sark is so stubborn he won’t make a change," a fan said.

Here are some more reactions from fans.

"Texas needs to bring in Arch Manning to seal this game!" one fan said.

In the end, Steve Sarkisian did not bring Arch Manning on in the final quarter of the game, relying on Quinn Ewers to score a touchdown late in the fourth quarter to seal a 20-10 win over the Razorbacks.

Ewers threw for only 176 yards in the game, which is his lowest this season. He went 20 from 36 and threw for two touchdowns.

If Ewers continues to play like this, the calls to start Arch Manning will only get stronger.

Steve Sarkisian on Quinn Ewers' performance vs. Arkansas

Texas coach Steve Sarkisian has given his verdict on how Ewers played against the Razorbacks.

Sarkisian said in his postgame press conference:

“Thought he (Quinn Ewers) played pretty efficiently. They were going to play it in a manner, in a style, where they were going to try to keep the ball in front of them and make us work the ball down the field. … And what a play for him there on the fourth down to kind of seal the game. So I was proud of him for that.”

This shows the confidence that Sarkisian has in Ewers this season.

While Arch Manning is someone who the fans want, Manning does not have experience in playing games against strong opposition.

Even if Ewers is not playing "exciting" football and throwing for over three hundred yards every game, he is doing what he needs to do to win games.
