“Why bro girl there?”: CFB fans left unimpressed with $5.2M NIL-valued Travis Hunter fiancée’s appearance in Adidas ad

Colorado superstar Travis Hunter signed an endorsement deal with Adidas on Thursday, the brand announced. Hunter, who has NIL deals worth $5.2 million, as per On3, also appeared in an advert for Adidas as part of the partnership.

While Hunter flaunted a few dance moves and struck a few poses in the commercial, he was also accompanied by his fiancée, Leanna Lenee, which sparked some reactions from fans on social media.

Some users questioned why Lenee was part of the Adidas advert since the deal was between Hunter and Adidas.

"Why is dudes girl in this commercial," one wrote.

"Why bro girl there?" another fan said.

"He really put his girl on the video," a fan commented.

The negative comments continued:

"Oh no she’s in the commercial……this is worse than I thought," one wrote.

"I’m pretty sure Adidas came with a better off and we see what they doing by putting his girlfriend in the commercial," another wrote.

"Wow this dude is an absolute simp lmaoooo," a user commented.

Hunter and Lenee have plans to get married in Chattanooga, Tennessee, in May next year. This is likely to be around the rookie minicamp if Hunter declares for the 2025 NFL draft.

Travis Hunter is in contention to win the Heisman Trophy this year

On Monday, Travis Hunter was named as one of the four finalists to win the Heisman Trophy this year. The Colorado star will face competition from Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty, Miami quarterback Cam Ward and Oregon quarterback Dillon Gabriel.

However, many believe that Hunter is the frontrunner to win the Heisman due to his stellar two-way ability. He racked up 1,152 yards and 14 touchdowns on 92 catches as a receiver. As a defensive back, the Colorado star recorded 31 tackles, 11 passes deflected, four interceptions and one forced fumble in 12 games.

The Heisman winner will be announced on Saturday.
