One of the biggest talking points heading into the Big 12 Media Days has been the appearance of Oklahoma State Cowboys running back Ollie Gordon II.
He was arrested last week on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI). The RB was originally scheduled for the 2024 Big 12 Media Days as one of the Oklahoma State Cowboys players.
However, with the arrest happening very recently, will we still be seeing Ollie Gordon II at the Big 12 Media Days or will he be pulled from attending the events?
Will Ollie Gordon II attend the Big 12 Media Days?
According to Action Network's Brett McMurphy, the Oklahoma State Cowboys will still have running back Ollie Gordon II attending the Big 12 Media Days. The event takes place on July 9-10 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
He is going to be with quarterback Alan Bowman, linebacker Nick Martin and linebacker Collin Oliver as the Cowboys in attendance with coach Mike Gundy.
What did Ollie Gordon II do last season with the Oklahoma State Cowboys?
Ollie Gordon II is entering his third season of college football and has proven to be one of the best running backs in the present landscape.
He is an extremely talented player with 285 rushing attempts for 1,732 yards (6.1 yards per carry) with 21 rushing touchdowns. He also has 39 catches for 330 yards (8.5 yards per reception) with one receiving touchdown sprinkled in there.
Gordon took the reins of the offense last season and showed why he was the recipient of the Doak Walker Award, given to the best running back in college football.
His production was a significant reason why the Oklahoma State Cowboys were able to make a bowl game and defeated the Texas A&M Aggies in the Texas Bowl.
With the Cowboys looking to take another step forward and compete for the Big 12 Championship, they need a similar Ollie Gordon II from what they saw last season.
