Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders released a new episode of his podcast, '2Legendary with Shedeur Sanders,' on Friday. In the episode, he discussed the upcoming 2025 NFL draft and his plans for it.

On the podcast, Sanders spoke about how he will not be attending the draft which is set to be hosted in Green Bay. Although he admitted no plans have been finalized, he said he will likely be in Colorado for the draft with his father, Deion Sanders, and the rest of his family.

This is an unusual decision for a player who is expected to be drafted within the top five. As a result, many fans were unhappy and voiced their disappointment on X.

"Wish the kids could think for themselves," one fan wrote.
"I am Team Sanders but not sure about this one. I think walking across that stage, meeting the Commissioner with your jersey is a highlight. I hope they re-think this. Not feeling it," one fan commented.
"Coach Prime already had said in an interview from the Alamo bowl that the team would be in Boulder as a team celebrating each others draft selections," one fan added.

Fans continued to sound off in the comment section of the video on X.

"Damn!! Oh man - sure wish he and Travis would attend!!!," one fan wrote.
"Bc he doesn’t want to be on site when he slips down the draft. Let’s be real, if he was going #1 he’d be there w his media team," one fan commented.
"It's interesting how when coach prime don't get his way behind the scene he start making moves like this. Ex why ain't no colorado players going to the Reese bowl? But everyone going to the shrine bowl and the Hulu bowl?," one fan added.

When is Shedeur Sanders expected to be drafted?

Shedeur Sanders is viewed by most draft experts as one of the two best quarterbacks in his class, alongside Miami's Cam Ward. It is unclear which player will go first, but both are expected to be top 10 if not top five picks.

Fans will have a better idea of where each player will go once the final week of the NFL regular season ends and the draft order is known. However, teams likely to draft high that are in need of a quarterback include the New York Giants, Cleveland Browns and Las Vegas Raiders.
