Shedeur Sanders' draft stock is at an all-time high as the college football season comes to a close. The Colorado Buffaloes quarterback is the most-talked-about quarterback prospect in the 2025 NFL draft class and continues to fly off the board within the first few picks of many mock drafts.
Hyping up the potential No. 1 pick, NFL insider Dov Kleiman shared a highlight reel on X/Twitter to show his support for the highly touted quarterback.
The post went viral, racking up over 3.3 million views in under 12 hours, but caused disagreement among fans.
In the comments, some fans cast doubt on Sanders' readiness for the next level.
"Is this bait," one fan questioned. "We watched Caleb Williams do this for the first few weeks of this year and it resulted in some horrible sacks. He'll be the next big bust, calling it now."
"If the defenders were not twice as fast and a QB being injured all the time didn't matter he might be a top pick," a second fan added. "None of the run-first QBs ever last."
"All of those bad angles the defenders took aren't happening in the NFL. Nice try, though," a third fan posted.
More fans continued their Shedeur Sanders-Caleb Williams comparisons on X:
"This is exactly what Caleb Williams did and everyone said the same thing and now look where he is," a fan commented, shading both Williams and Sanders.
"Yeah Caleb Williams has proven that doesn't work in the NFL. Bust," another fan added, already giving Sanders the bust label.
"You realize this is the exact reason Caleb Williams is struggling right," a third fan questioned.
Major mock drafts project Shedeur Sanders to Las Vegas Raiders
Earlier this week, Yahoo Sports and CBS Sports put out their respective 2025 NFL Mock Drafts. Among the two mock drafts was a common theme: Shedeur Sanders to the Las Vegas Raiders. Both mock drafts predicted Sanders to go to Las Vegas with the No. 6 overall pick.
The Sanders to Las Vegas talks are nothing new. Shedeur's dad and Colorado head coach Deion Sanders has raved about the Raiders and labeled them as a potential landing spot for his son in the draft. Sheduer Sanders also met up with Raiders owner Al Davis during the season, as the pair shared an interaction at a Las Vegas Aces game during the WNBA season.
CBS Sports grades Sheduer Sanders as the No. 10 prospect in the class and the No. 2 quarterback behind Miami's Cam Ward. Sanders is set to play in his final collegiate game in the Alamo Bowl versus the BYU Cougars on Saturday.
