The No. 6 Ohio State Buckeyes lost 13–10 to Michigan on Saturday. The loss ended their regular season and knocked them out of the Big 10 Championship Game. As a result, fans and pundits question coach Ryan Day's leadership capabilities, who has now lost four straight games to Michigan.

On Wednesday, analyst Nick Pedone discussed Ohio State's need for a culture shift on the "Big Play Cleveland Show". In his opinion, the Buckeyes need a change in culture and more swagger. So, he talked about how it would make sense for them to try to pry Coach Prime away from Colorado.

"I truly do believe that this is an Ohio State program that needs a change of culture that needs a change of swagger about them," he said. "What about Coach Prime. What about Deion Sanders to Columbus, coaching the Ohio State Buckeyes. That's not me being facetious at all. Two years ago the Colorado Buffaloes were horrible. They were the worst football team in America by a pretty good margin. In just two years time, while he's had a media circus surrounding him and there were some theatrics that went with, he has the Colorado Buffaloes ranked. He has the Colorado Buffaloes bowl eligible."
"Two weeks ago it looked like they could crack this new expanded 12-team playoff. As I was sitting there on Saturday and I was watching the Ohio State Buckeyes, I saw a team without a culture, without any swagger, without any juice. That played even into the post-game fight where they couldn't even muscle the Michigan flag away from a equipment manager."

Would Coach Prime be interested in leaving Colorado for Ohio State?

There has not been much talk about Coach Prime as a coaching candidate with the Buckeyes beyond what Nick Pedone said on Wednesday. Although there has been a big discussion on the Buckeyes replacing Ryan Day, only some have discussed Deion Sanders as an option.

While it is an interesting option, Sanders has expressed repeatedly that he is not interested in leaving Colorado. However, if he does decide to leave, most pundits agree that he will go to the NFL. The Dallas Cowboys are interested in hiring him as their next coach.

Additionally, some analysts believe Sanders could join whichever team drafts his son, quarterback Shedeur Sanders. Shedeur is projected to be a top-five pick in the 2025 NFL draft.
