Colorado's Coach Prime drops some wisdom on partnerships as Shedeur Sanders sets his sights on the NFL. Deion Sanders, Shedeur’s dad and Buffs coach, posted a screenshot of a thought-provoking text on X.

“The wrong partner will find you in peace and leave you in pieces. The right will find you in pieces and lead you to peace.”

In a video shared by Deion Sanders Jr. on Monday, Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders laughs off a coach’s suggestion to sign up for next semester’s classes.

“Man I’m going to the league,” Shedeur Sanders said.

However, Shedeur took to social media X later, adding:

“I'm graduating early btw.”

Coach Prime’s words of wisdom seem to resonate with Colorado’s recent success. The Buffaloes, sitting at 6-2, have climbed to No. 21 in the AP Poll ahead of Week 11. Colorado is also expected to make its first College Football Playoff Top 25 appearance since Dec. 2020, when the rankings are unveiled Tuesday.

On a positive note, Shedeur is considered one of the top quarterback prospects for the 2025 NFL Draft and a potential top-10 pick.

Coach Prime’s Colorado's Playoff Prospects after Week 10

The Colorado Buffaloes are behind just two Big 12 teams in the AP Top 25: No. 9 BYU (8-0) and No. 17 Iowa State (7-1). Meanwhile, No. 22 Kansas State (7-2) sits just behind Colorado despite a narrow 31-28 win over them on Oct. 12.

The Big 12 standings show BYU on top at 5-0, with Iowa State and Colorado following closely at 4-1 each. Intriguingly, none of these teams will meet in the final stretch of the regular season, setting up a potential tie-breaker showdown for the Big 12 championship game.

Colorado has the star power to make a November push. Shedeur Sanders, with 21 touchdown passes, is tied for third nationally, and Travis Hunter is among the Heisman contenders.

Hunter, a dual-threat, has recorded 60 catches for 757 yards and eight touchdowns while leading the Big 12 with seven pass breakups.

With this firepower, Colorado can make a run—but every game counts in their tight race to the top.
