Colorado's two-way star, Travis Hunter, has been instrumental in helping the Buffaloes secure bowl eligibility for the first time in eight years. Hunter is also firmly in the running for the Heisman Trophy after navigating an injury-hit last two game weeks.

During Colorado's bye week, Hunter took some time off to go fishing in Texas with his coach, Deion Sanders. The pair have a tradition of fishing together during their free time and Hunter posted a playful picture of himself "stealing" Coach Prime's boat during the weekend.

He captioned the picture:

"Yes I stole his boat," Travis Hunter wrote.

It was the second time in a week that Hunter had cheekily stolen one of Coach Prime's possessions. He was earlier caught red-handed sneaking into his coach's office to take a pair of his LeBron Prime sneakers.

Travis Hunter shocked many football fans with his decision to de-commit from his Florida State commitment in 2021 as a five-star prospect to go and play for coach Deion Sanders, who was the coach of FCS side, Jackson State.

During an episode of the "Richard Sherman" podcast, Hunter detailed which aspects of Coach Prime's family-oriented manner convinced his mother to let him play for the charismatic coach.

“My family felt comfortable first before he (Sanders) even made me feel comfortable," Hunter said. "So my mom was just like, yeah, I think this is the best deal for us to go learn for somebody that actually did it, even though my mom don't watch football, she know who Coach Prime is.
"So it was kind of crazy just how he kept his family around, like having Shedeur as his quarterback Shiloh standing around, his oldest son Bucky standing around, his daughters are standing around. It's just like, it's family oriented and that's exactly what I wanted to be and I wanted to learn from somebody like that.”

Travis Hunter also outlined the aspect of Coach Prime being a two-way player as a huge factor in his decision to play for him, a decision that was praised by popular analyst Pat McAfee during this week's episode of the "Pat McAfee Show."

"He (Coach Prime) goes on a promo about Travis Hunter, 'All ball, doesn't drink, he streams, he has a show and has an incredible personality.' It's like this guy is obviously Heisman-worthy, great for football," McAfee said. "We are very lucky that Hunter went to Colorado with Coach Prime and has been allowed to do this.
"There's a lot of coaches who would be like, you gotta be one or the other."

Deion Sanders has referred to Hunter as part of his family on several occasions, even when discussing the NFL futures of his sons, Shilo and Shedeur Sanders, showing the close bond that the coach and player share.
