Travis Hunter has become one of the most well-known players in college football this season due to his performances as a dual-position player for the Colorado Buffaloes. His 2024 campaign not only saw him win the Heisman Trophy but also helped him gain new NIL deals.

One of those deals is with United Airlines, which has a revenue of $54.8 billion in 2024 according to Forbes. After his Heisman win over the weekend, Hunter shared a post on Instagram in partnership with the company:

"Thanks to @united for getting us to and from games all season. Plenty of room in these bins for the extra hardware I’m bringing back to Boulder."

In the comment section of this post, former NFL defensive tackle and senior quality control analyst for the Colorado Buffaloes, Warren Sapp, wrote:

"@db3_tip you have no clue what those seats even Look Like!! Thanks @united."

College football athletes do not tend to fly coach, especially not in the scenario that Hunter described with United flying the team to their games.

Nowadays, most teams fly on chartered flights, which offer more space and comfort than regular commercial planes. This style of travel is seen in all four major professional sports leagues in the U.S.

Julian Edelman's take on Travis Hunter's NFL position

As Hunter readies himself for the 2025 NFL draft, one of the key questions is what position he will play, wide receiver or cornerback. Former New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman gave his verdict during Sunday's episode of the "Dudes on Dudes" podcast:

"If I was him, I'd go defense because those corners get paid a lot of money."

Cornerbacks are some of the highest-paid players on the defense, and if used well, Hunter could excel in this position, something that he has not been able to do as much while with the Buffaloes. However, Edelman also did not rule out the possibility of Hunter playing some important downs on offense when needed.

In the end, a decision will be made on which position Travis Hunter will play. This is not an easy one to make, as it is likely to affect where he goes in the 2025 NFL draft.
