Colorado Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders had a savage comeback to a reporter's question during a press conference on Friday. When asked about bolstering his offensive line, Sanders turned the question back on the reporter, asking:

"What does bolster mean? I don't know that bolstered stuff. I've never used that in a sentence in my life. How about improved? Let’s say that we’ve improved our offensive line."

When asked why chemistry is an important thing for his team, the coach again had a sharp comeback:

"What is chemistry? You guys use it all the time. What is it? You guys (the media) work together. You don’t like each other, most of you. You don’t. You definitely don’t love the guy back there — y’all can’t stand him.
"But y’all work together and you get the job done. We generally have a love and admiration for one another. We really do, whether you throw the word chemistry out or not. Everybody keeps throwing that word out, some of you don’t have chemistry at home, but you go there every day.”

It was a comical response from Sanders, who is known to make subtle jabs during interviews and press conferences. "Coach Prime" and the Buffaloes are set to open their 2024 college football season on August 29 against North Dakota State.

Colorado coach Deion Sanders focused on bolstering his offensive line

After a disappointing 4-8 season, Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes are focused on adding offensive linemen through the transfer portal. Sanders said that protecting Shedeur Sanders is key for the team's success, who are back in the Big 12 starting in 2024.

"We got to protect that quarterback," Sanders said, via ESPN. "That's No. 1. What makes it easy to connect with offensive line? Having the best darn quarterback in college football. Who don't want to come and block for the best quarterback in college football? You got to be a fool if you say, 'I don't want to be seen.'"

Colorado is not favored to make the College Football Playoff, with a massive +1400 odds, implying only a 6.7% chance of making it. The Buffaloes have notable games against Nebraska, Kansas State, Arizona, Utah, Kansas and Oklahoma State.
