One activity that Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders enjoys aside from coaching football is fishing. During his free time, "Coach Prime" loves to spend time by the lake and enjoy a sunny day catching fish, and he often shares his catches with fans on social media.

As the Buffs continue their offseason preparations for their Big 12 conference reunion, Deion Sanders took a little detour from his busy schedule to spend a day fishing. In a recent post that he shared on social media, Coach Prime went on a fishing trip at his private lake with his friends and professional fishing experts Matt Looney and Kevin Rogers.

In the video, Deion Sanders talked about how he doesn't travel to different destinations a lot and considers a fishing trip to be vacation time. Coach Prime was also seen landing one of his catches onto the boat as he and his friends continued their discussion on why they love fishing.

"Y'all call it fishing we call it catching! You know we gotta compete & HAVE FUN with everything we do. I got a boat and a trailer NOW that I can't wait to Pull Up on y'all! Thanks you @mattlooneyfishing & @kevinrogersfishing @basscatboats BABY!!!!!" Sanders wrote in the caption.

Deion Sanders opens up about an inspiring fishing story from his childhood

Recently, the Colorado head coach sat down for an interview with CFB analyst Joel Klatt on his show. During the appearance, Coach Prime shared a story from his childhood about why he has a soft spot for fishing and why he never buys a house without a lake.

Sanders opened up about the time when he went on a fishing trip with his stepdad as a kid. During the trip, he and his stepdad saw another party with better fishing equipment. This burned a fire inside a young Deion Sanders to go on and be so successful in life that he has his own private lake for fishing inside his property.

"I was on the bank fishing with my stepfataher one time in Fort Myers, Florida," Sanders said on 'The Joel Klatt Show.' "I'm just letting you in on the way, I think. And we can't pull a fish.. A boat came by, and it was a couple gentlemen in this beautiful boat, and my stepfather looked at that, and he just went back to fishing," Sanders said.
"You know what little young prime thought? 'I want a lake.' Forget the boat, I want a lake. Cause if I've got the lake I can do whatever the heck I wanna do. And I've never owned a home since then, since my adulthood life, without a lake." (14:00)
