Former Alabama coach Nick Saban made his College GameDay debut during the Week 0 show in Dublin, where Georgia Tech took on the Florida State Seminoles. The GameDay crew then made its way to College Station for Week 1, where Texas A&M took on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

During the show, Nick Saban took a subtle jab at Ohio State and Ryan Day, stating that having a roster reportedly worth $20 million is futile if one cannot produce results. This led the rest of the GameDay crew to burst out in laughter.

"I just wanna say you guys talk about a $20 million dollar roster. If you don't play the right guys, You'll be s**t out of luck," Saban said.

After last season's 11-2 campaign and the failure to qualify for the playoffs, Ryan Day will face a lot of pressure this year. The Buckeyes will begin their 2024 season with a week 1 showdown against the Akron Zips.

The game is scheduled to be played on Saturday, August 31st. It is expected to kick off at around 3:30 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on CBS. Fans will also be able to watch the game on various live-streaming services such as FuboTV, SlingTV, and others.

Nick Saban shares his thoughts on his appearance on the VRBO commercial

Apart from beginning his broadcasting journey, the former Alabama head coach is also acting in new commercials. His latest work was when he collaborated with rental host VRBO, where he played the role of an overbearing host.

During an appearance on the Pat McAfee show during the West Virginia vs. Penn State clash, Saban opened up about his performance in the commercial.

"Well, you know, Pat's my idol," Saban said. "He helped me on TV, sitting next to me. And I was trying to be like him in the commercial. You know, the one thing Miss Terry said is I didn't have to do any acting in that commercial. That's just the kind of jerk I always am."

Despite retiring from the world of coaching, it looks like Nick Saban plans to keep himself busy while exploring several different domains.
