With college football season over for Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders, the rumblings around his potential draft destination have been the talk of the town.
Among the NFL teams Sanders has been the most associated with are the New York Giants, who holds the No. 3 pick in the 2025 NFL draft order. On Monday, Giants running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. said about Sanders.
"Whoever’s back there obviously has to be a leader, but again, efficiency and ball security are crucial," Tracy said on Monday following the 20-13 loss against the Eagles. "You’ve got to be smart with the ball and also just be a good quarterback. Personally, I’m a running back, but you want someone who can command a team.
"I feel like anyone who comes in will have an opportunity to excel, and, if they do, I’ll be proud of them. I believe that if you put the right person at quarterback, our offense can really take off."
Giants WR Malik Nabers is waiting for front office's call to pass his evaluation on Shedeur Sanders
During the same interaction, Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers didn't say about Shedeur Sanders but added that would pass his evaluation to the front office if they came calling.
"If they call me up to make decisions on what they want to do and ask me about it, I’ll do some research, watch the QBs, and let them know how I feel about it," Nabers said.
Last month, when Sanders was in the Big Apple, a snap of the quarterback playing ball with Nabers hit the internet, as speculations went rife on Giants being in prime contention to draft the signal-caller.
For that to happen, the Giants will hope that the No. 1 pick holder Tennessee Titans and No. 2 pick holder Cleveland Browns don't draft Sanders.
Shedeur Sanders, who many expect could be picked inside the first five picks of the 2025 NFL draft, was humbled in a 36-14 Alamo Bowl loss to the BYU Cougars. The result and his performance could have hurt his drafted stock to some degree, with some analysts believing he's not a first-round pick altogether.
It remains to be seen when and where Shedeur Sanders takes his talents to. What do you think would be ideal for Colorado QB?
