"Your QB evaluation might need to change" - CFB analyst has a clear message for the Raiders as they target Shedeur Sanders in 2025 NFL draft

Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders capped off his regular season with a blowout 52-0 win over Oklahoma State on Friday. Sanders threw for 438 yards and five touchdowns, finishing the season with 3,926 yards, 35 touchdowns and eight interceptions.

On Thursday's edition of "GoJo & Golic," Yahoo Sports analyst Jason Fitz discussed expectations surrounding Sanders potentially being drafted by the Las Vegas Raiders next year.

"In a normal world, I think both of those quarterbacks ( Sanders and Cam Ward) would be mid-late first-round prospects," Fitz said. ... "Mark Davis is going to make Shedeur Sanders his quarterback, so that's their opportunity. (0:46)

"That's what the Raiders do. ... When you're in the same division as Bo Nix and Sean Payton and then Harbaugh and Herbert and obviously Mahomes and Andy Reid, I do think your quarterback evaluation might need to change a little bit. The one thing you need to focus on is who has that upside. You don't need a quarterback. You need somebody who will turn into a Mahomes beater. That's gonna take time, patience, development."

Deion and Shedeur Sanders tabbed as package deal to Raiders

On Nov. 25, "The Ringer," host Bill Simmons spoke about the possibility of Shedeur Sanders and his father, Deion Sanders, being the perfect package deal for the Las Vegas Raiders.

"I'm with you," Simmons said. "Mark Davis is nothing like (Jerry Jones). First of all, his hair is beautiful, it really is impeccable. Secondly, he doesn't care who gets the spotlight, he just wants to be Raiders. That is the perfect, perfect move for them. Shedeur and Deion. People are saying Deion and Shedeur are gonna go to Dallas, not gonna happen."

Despite being extensively linked with several NFL jobs in the past few weeks, Deion Sanders has repeatedly said he would like to stay in Boulder.
