Former Alabama head coach Nick Saban was honored with the Icon Award at the ESPYs on June 11, 2024.
Saban gave valuable advice to all young players and coaches in his seven-minute speech. He also praised his wife, Miss Terry, as he received the award.
In his speech, Saban talked about family sacrifices in this profession and how his wife, Miss Terry, has supported him at every step.
"You have to have great support from your family," Saban said. "You know, Miss Terry has been the love of my life for 52 years. And she has supported me in every way as my family has. And I certainly appreciate that, because there's a lot of sacrifices families make in coaching. We actually moved 17 times before we ever got to Alabama 17 times."
Days after his heartfelt speech, Nick Saban's daughter, Kristen, expressed her feelings toward the former head coach on Instagram.
"Beyond proud of this man," Kristen wrote in her story.
