"We knew coming in we'd have to finish drives with points," UNT coach Eric Morris said on Saturday, via the team's website. "I called some bad plays and put us in bad situations, and we had some squandered opportunities where we were in position to score and had some guys make some mistakes.
"I'm super proud of our defense for how fast and physical they played with a top-20 team and one of the top rushing attacks in the nation."
North Texas is led by Chandler Morris who has thrown for 3,087 yards, 26 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. DT Sheffield has 721 receiving yards and 10 TDs.
Defensively, the Mean Green are led by Evan Jackson's two interceptions, Roderick Brown's 4.5 sacks and Jaylen Smith's 65 tackles.

UTSA and North Texas have high-powered offenses but their defenses have struggled, which should lead to a shootout.
This will be a back-and-forth game but UTSA will edge out an upset win as its offense is slightly better, which will be the difference.
