Notre Dame continues its ACC-heavy schedule, with a visit to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on Saturday. The Fighting Irish come in as the No. 12 in the nation, with a positive 5-1 record, with a couple of wins over ranked schools (Texas A&M and Louisville) but an embarrassing defeat in Week 2 to Northern Illinois.
For their part, the Yellow Jackets have the same amount of wins but also a defeat more than the Fighting Irish, with a record of 5-2. Despite opening the year strong in Week 0 with a victory over then-No. 10 Florida State, the value of that victory has been devalued by how the Seminoles' season has unfolded.
Last time out the Irish easily defeated the Stanford Cardinal 49-7, with Riley Leonard throwing for 229 passing yards and having three touchdown passes. The Yellow Jackets also won their last encounter, a 41-34 game against the North Carolina Tar Heels.
Haynes King threw for only 127 yards but ran for 107 yards and scored two rushing touchdowns. Running back Jamal Haynes ran for 107 yards and scored another two rushing touchdowns
