The Ohio Bobcats had a remarkable 2024 season, finishing with an 11–3 overall record, as well as a 7–1 mark in the MAC Conference. They won their first conference championship since 1968, with a remarkable 38–3 victory over the Miami Redhawks in the conference. The season was managed by head coach Tim Albin. Post-season, Albin joined the Charlotte 49ers, and the offensive coordinator Brian Smith became the interim head coach for the Bobcats. In the final game of the season, the Bobcats defeated Jacksonville State 30-27 to win the Cure Bowl game and record its first 11-win season in the program's history. They had a 2-2 record in the non-conference, winning against South Alabama in the final stages of the season. Quarterback Parker Navarro led the offense and helped defeat teams like Akron, Central Michigan, and Toledo. The Bobcats were remarkable against Kent State and allowed only an average of 18.14 points per game.
