Oklahoma vs. Ole Miss is a game in which both sides are looking to return to winning ways, and the injury report will be a factor in the matchup. The number 18-ranked Ole Miss Rebels (5-2) will host the Oklahoma Sooners (4-3) on Saturday, Oct. 26, at noon ET.
Oklahoma—in its debut season in the SEC—has dropped two games in a row. The Sooners most recently lost 9-35 to South Carolina on Saturday.
Ole Miss also eyes a return to the win column after losing overtime 26-29 to number eight-ranked LSU on Saturday.
Oklahoma injury report
The Oklahoma Sooners have health, but they have had as many injuries as any team in college football this season. Things do not seem to be going in the right direction, as some key players are expected to be out of the lineup against Ole Miss.
#1 Deion Burks
Wide receiver Deion Burks has not played since the Sep. 21 game against seventh-ranked Tennessee. Things were looking good for his possible return this week, as head coach Brent Venables said he was day-to-day. However, on Thursday evening, Burks was downgraded to doubtful on the injury report.
#2 Gavin Sawchuk
Running back Gavin Sawchuk has been in and out of the lineup throughout the season. He missed the game against Auburn before returning against Texas two weeks ago. However, he strained his quad and missed last Saturday's game against South Carolina. He is listed as doubtful for Saturday's game against Ole Miss.
#3 Jalil Farooq
Wide receiver Jalil Farooq has not played since the season opener because of a broken foot. His return timeline was six to eight weeks at the time of his injury. So, he may return soon. However, he is still listed as out for this week's matchup.
Ole Miss injury report
Ole Miss has no new injuries, but no one was removed from the injury report either. However, several players on the report could play against Oklahoma.
#1 Tre Harris
Wide receiver Tre Harris was listed as questionable heading into last week's game against LSU but suited up for the game. He remains listed as questionable on the injury report but could play again this week.
#2 Cayden Lee
Wide receiver Cayden Lee has not missed time this season but is on the report as probable. No injury has been officially announced, so he is likely dealing with routine bumps and bruises and will be available.
#3 Jayden Williams
Offensive lineman Jayden Williams is still listed as questionable for the game against Oklahoma. His status will likely be decided shortly before the game starts.
