Ole Miss vs Arkansas: Preview
Ole Miss is a 7-point favorite on the road while the over/under is set at 53.5 points.
The Rebels entered the season with hopes of making the college football playoff, but Ole Miss is on the outside looking in after two losses already. The Rebels will likely need to run the table, which includes a game against Georgia.
Ole Miss is coming off a win over Oklahoma, where the Rebels trailed at halftime but didn't allow a point in the second half to get a much-needed win.
"After rewatching it too, that's a good win," Kiffin said, via SI. "I told our guys today, 'Don't let people outside of this room steal your joy about winning in the SEC, especially by two scores and dominating the second half.' That's kind of the world we live in around here now.
"I want our guys to make sure they understand when you win in this conference and you win by two scores, there are things to work on, but also enjoy it, or you end up winning and being miserable."
In the win, Ole Miss was led by Jaxson Dart, who threw for 311 yards and a touchdown, while Caden Prieskorn had 71 yards and a touchdown.
The Rebels are led by Henry Parrish Jr., who has rushed for 656 yards and 10 touchdowns, and Tre Harris leads the way with 987 yards and six touchdowns.
Defensively, Trey Amos has three interceptions, Suntarine Perkins has 8.5 sacks, and Chris Paul Jr. has 58 tackles.
Arkansas, meanwhile, blew out Mississippi State on the road in a good win, as the Razorbacks have been a dark horse in the SEC as they are the only team to beat Tennessee.
Against Ole Miss, Razorbacks coach Sam Pittman says his defense must be much better than what they were last week.
"We (gave up) 11 explosives, which, you know, we've got to figure out," Pittman said.
"Some of them were on the bubbles that we've got to stop that we lost contain, which can't happen... You think about Ole Miss, you think about offense. Just a really, really good football team, that's very explosive," he added.
Both teams are clicking on offense and this should be a great spot game. However, Ole Miss is the real deal and Dart should be able to have success against this Razorbacks defense to lead the Rebels to the win.
Mississippi State was able to have explosive plays against Arkansas, which should give Dart and the Rebels confidence.
Prediction: Ole Miss 37, Arkansas 24
