The Orange Bowl, established in 1935, is held annually in South Florida, at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens. It is a part of the New Year’s Six, held on or around the first day of the year. It is the second oldest bowl game after the Rose Bowl. Traditionally, the Orange Bowl has featured teams from ACC, SEC, Big Ten Conferences or Notre Dame. When it is a part of the College Football Playoffs, the teams of the Orange Bowl game are determined through seeding.
The 2025 Orange Bowl would take place on 9th January, 2025, which would serve as the 2025 CFP semi-finals. The Orange Bowl would be played between the winners of Fiesta and Sugar Bowl. As of January 2025, Penn State Littany Lions defeated the Boise State Broncos 31-14 at the 2024 Fiesta Bowl, which secured their place in this year's Orange Bowl.
